With undergraduate degrees in Applied Physics, Mathematics and Business and a Masters Degree in Business Administration Charles has more than 20 years experience in the technology industry with employment ranging from large multi-national corporations (9yrs) to small start-up companies (11yrs). Working for a contract manufacturer Charles was the manufacturing project manager over-seeing prototype, new-product introduction and initial production ramp of IBM’s very first Thinkpad® laptop computer. Later Charles was recruited by a San Jose, CA start-up ServerWorks Corp. with zero product revenues and as Director of Operations facilitated company growth to a $500M annual run rate by managing international manufacturing operations and a customer base spanning over 23 countries and 32 major customers. This company was acquired by Broadcom Corporation in early 2001 in a multi-billion dollar transaction.
Charles holds multiple product patents in the building products sector, with many more pending, and has been a key team member of six start-ups, ranging from new facilities for large companies to new companies starting from zero revenue. With backgrounds in applied physics, technology and operations management, Charles is the driving force at Eco-Panels for new product development, company vision, and forging new relationships and strategic partnerships with the key focus of bringing new technology into the construction/building industry. The Eco-Panels structural insulated building panel has been noted by building scientists working for US Dept. of Energy to be the most advanced panelized building system on the market today, and with the recent introduction of the EPIC Block, Eco-Panels was the most awarded building products company on the planet in 2021.
