Where is Shadow Summit 2023?

This year, the conference will be held at the Historic Academy of Medicine, located on the Georgia Tech campus in Midtown Atlanta, GA. The building is located at the corner of West Peachtree St NW and 7th Street.

Where do I enter the building?

Enter using the front entrance of the building (main level) located on West Peachtree St NW. Please do not use the lower level or side door.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in a public paid surface lot directly behind the Historic Academy of Medicine (Georgia Tech Lot E84). Enter the lot from 7th St (near Cypress St). If parking here, you must pay upon arrival by cell phone (follow posted signs) or by using the Park Mobile App (Zone 8642). There is a $5 flat rate from 6 AM - 8 PM. We do not have control over the lot or enforcement, so please be sure to follow posted instructions to avoid being ticketed or booted. (Google Maps | Apple Maps)

Additionally, there is limited public street parking nearby on West Peachtree St, 8th St, 7th St, and 6th St (4 hour maximum, strictly enforced). Follow the posted signs to pay via cell phone or central meter. There is also a small public covered parking deck one block east in the Spire building at 7th and Cypress Street (credit card only).

Can I connect to Wi-Fi during the conference?

Yes, there will be signs at the registration and help desk with connection instructions, including a unique code for the duration of the conference. If you need assistance connecting, please be sure to let a staff member know.

Is food provided during the conference?

We will provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks (including coffee and beverages) each day during the conference. If you have a particular dietary restriction, please let us know in advance so we can do our best to accomodate.

There are also a number of nearby restaurants within walking distance should you wish to eat offsite. If you need recommendations or directions, please ask a staff member and we will happily help point you in the right direction.

Do you have hotel recommendations?

We reserved blocks at several nearby hotels, however room rates at the block price are now sold out. There are still rooms available at several nearby hotels, depending on your preference of distance and star rating. The hotels below are listed in distance order (nearest to farthest) from the venue and are all within a 15 minute walk:

- Renaissance Atlanta Midtown (4 star)
- Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center (3 star)
- Hyatt Centric Midtown (4 star)
- Hilton Garden Inn Midtown (3 star)
- Lowes Atlanta Midtown (4 star)
- Four Seasons Atlanta Midtown (5 star)

Of these, the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown is directly across the street from the venue and the Georgia Tech Hotel is within 3 blocks.

If I need to take a call during the conference, will there be space?

We will have a room that can be used as a quieter setting for calls or meetings, however, we cannot guarantee it will be completely silent or suitable to your needs. There are also several coffee shops nearby as well a WeWork should you require additional options.

Yes, if you have mobility issues or need assistance with ingress or egress to the building, please contact us in advance so we can assist.
